Basic Rules for Using Videos
Videos (aka movies) used to be
only for professionals. Now, with the ability to make a movie
with your cell phone and other small digital devices, anyone and
everyone can make one. Cameras for your PC are cheap and
provide decent quality. The hardest thing to get right if you
are going to film something yourself is to the the lighting right.
However, that is not the only way
to make a video.

There is a
piece of software on your PC called Windows Movie Maker.
On my PC, it is located at "C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe"
It may be in a different place on yours. If you can't find
it, go to
http://www.download.com and search for "Windows Movie Maker"
and download it from there (Free)

Now, make a
PowerPoint presentation with your basic points you want your
movie to say.

Save the
PowerPoint as a File Type = JPEG (.jpg). This will
save each PowerPoint slide as a different picture.

Now, open up
your Windows Movie Maker software, find the JPEGs and move them
into the Movie Maker software. Pull them down to the movie
maker line in the order you want them.

Now, click on
the "Add Audio" button. Using your PC microphone, give a
presentation using your PowerPoint slides and talk through all
the points. When done, save it! (IF you are like me,
you will have to do this a half dozen times to get the timing
right so the pictures don't go to the next one before you are
done talking to it.

Obviously this
is a pretty sketchy outline... You will have to learn this
yourself but let me tell you, it was really simple when I did it
for the first time.

Last thing to
do is to find a piece of software called Dr. DivX. But it
or get a free download. Might cost you $20 or so.
What it does is compress your video and change it from
Microsoft's proprietary format to one that YouTube and all the
other video sites love.

Upload your new
video to your new YouTube account, choose appropriate keywords,
and watch what happens.

When I did the
exact thing I describe above, I started getting calls about my
business. When I figured out why, I realized one of my
keywords was #1 on Google! Go type in 'hft
home business' in your Google search bar. Ok, today
it is #4. See the one with the little colorful picture
beside it? That's ME!

Never advertise your main business URL

ALWAYS use a lead capture form (aka
"Squeeze Page") If you don't... you will lose leads... all the time

ALWAYS use an 'ad tracker' to find out
which ads pull good and which ones don't If you don't, you won't know which ads work will you?
