Ads That Work

Here are some ads that I have used that 'work'.  What do I mean by 'work'?  Just that it gets prospects to opt-in to my autoresponder so I can send them my marketing messages.  That is one of the reasons I developed with "Wealth Guide" series for you to use... so you can get more prospects.  It has universal appeal:  a) Marketers like it because it teaches them how to market, and, b) everyone else likes it because it teaches them how to make money from home like a pro.

Ad #1:


Subject:  {firstname], Here's Your Copy

Now, two things to notice: 
1.  the {firstname} is a 'tag' that one of my ListBuilders use.  It merges the prospect's FIRSTNAME into my email.  GREAT marketing tactic.  USE IT all the time.
2.  I use a 'redirect' url (the tinyurl.com part).  Two reasons: 
     a.  It creates interest because the reader does not know what the real URL is. 
     b.  It does not let the reader prejudge my offer by seeing my real URL and making a decision on that fact alone.

Notice:

1.  The reference to "Joe Plumber"?  Remember him?  He was one of John McCain's 'stories' in the presidential campaign.  It was timely and lots of people related to him or at least the concept of the "Joe Plumber" icon.  Keeping up with current news can give you some good ideas for marketing that hit home directly with people.

2.  I have my contact info (name, phone, email and city/state) in every ad and every email.  I want to be real and accessible.  So should you.  Part of the credibility piece.

3.  How short and succinct these ads are?  The single goal is to get them to click the link to go to my site.  Then the site takes over to get them to put their name in the form.  But the ad only has one purpose:  To click the link in the ad.  Not to sell the product, not to sell the business, not to list benefits...  Just to click the link.

  1. Headlines are vitally important.  If your headline is no good, no one will read your ad.  Learn about good headlines at my blog.
  2. Test your headlines with this professional tool.  Don't skimp on this!
  3. Always Spam Check your emails to make sure you have the BEST CHANCE of getting through the email spam filters.
  4. Don't ever try to jam your favorite business or product down my throat right off the bat.
  5. Use BENEFITS not FEATURES in your advertising.  If you don't know the difference, LEARN it.
  6. Most advertising does not work because the writers don't understand marketing psychology.  Attraction Marketing WORKS.  Read and Heed.
  7. If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try, try, try again...
  8. Testing ads to see what is working is the key to success
  9. Use different types of advertising.
  10. Keep trying new ads
  11. Never stop.
  12. When you get a good ad that is pulling, 'roll it out' to the maximum.
  13. Never advertise your main business URL
  14. ALWAYS use a lead capture form (aka "Squeeze Page") in your ads
    If you don't... you will lose leads... all the time
  15. ALWAYS use an 'ad tracker' to find out which ads pull good and which ones don't
    If you don't, you won't know which ads work will you?
  16. Followup with your prospects from 5 to 12 times at least as this is where 80% or more of all sales are made.  That's right... not on the 1st exposure, not on the 2nd exposure, not on the 3rd or 4th but from the 5th to the 12th exposure. (I know... I wrote the article on this!  See it right here and read it closely.
  17. Followup can and should be done in as many different ways as possible.
